The Briefcase Sentry is a fully portable covert security and surveillance system that transmits voice alarm messages over radio. The content of these voice alarms can be customized by the user to announce detailed alarm information in any language. The range capability of the transmission is determined by the range of the user’s current communication system. Radio systems include, but are not limited to, UHF, VHF, 800 Mhz, 900 Mhz and trunking.

Disguised as a briefcase, the Sentry is designed for a variety of covert investigation operations. The system comes complete with a four-channel wireless sensor receiver and four wireless sensors (PIR, panic button, door contact and tilt) and is configured for the user’s radio system. A microprocessor permits programming of the Sentry by computer software (LookPC) and/or with the DTMF tones that are generated through the keypad on any user’s radio. The unit is also equipped with a connector which may be used to trigger an onsite camera or other peripheral device.

Under normal conditions, the Sentry operates on its gel-cell battery for an average of 500 hours between battery charges (depends on number of radio broadcasts). When a battery charge is needed, the Sentry transmits a verbal “low battery” message. The internal battery is recharged by connecting the system to a small wall charger for about 10 hours.

FEATURES:

• Clock Calendar – Permits automatic enable or disable of individual sensor zones based on user programmable schedule. Set schedules by hour of day, day of week or holiday.

• PC Software – The Sentry has specially designed software (LookPC) that allows extensive user programmability for maximum flexibility in system setup. Features include sensor scheduling, status reports, alarm history, triggering external devices, and more.

• Custom Message Capability – In addition to the factory recorded alarm and status messages, precise voice messages may be recorded and assigned to individual sensor zones and Sentrys. The length of these messages is user-determined and permits the use of other languages and message encoding.

• Self-Test Transmission – User may select and schedule periodic status reports from the Sentry, ensuring system confidence and reliable management of the remote system.

• Battery Powered - The unit is equipped with a 7.5AH ge-cell battery which will operate unattended for an average of 500 hrs. The system is also equipped with an optimum charge cycle battery charger to maximize battery life.

• Supervised Key Switch – Power on and power off messages are broadcast over the user’s radio system.

• Entry/Exit Delay -  Allows entry and exit into the protected area without setting off a sensor.

• Outputs – A supplied 5 watt broadcast radio (UHF and VHF only) provides voice output directly to security or law enforcement radios. Special radios such as 800 Mhz and trunking are not included. The Sentry can be configured for special radio systems. A single SPDT contact output can be set to activate on alarm or can be activated remotely by DTMF command.

• Remote Programming Via DTMF Tones – Programming features can also be done remotely thru any radio with a DTMF keypad.

• Internal Memory of Alarms – The system maintains a memory of the last 100 alarms by time, date and sensor. The memory log can be retrieved thru the LookPC software or by using a remote DTMF command.

• Housing – commercial grade vinyl briefcase 19 x 15 x 4.5. The Sentry can be special ordered in an outdoor case or settled to any other case at additional cost.

• Green LED - Indicates full battery charge. Red LED - Indicates battery charging.

• Environmental - Designed for indoor use unless otherwise specified.

• Temperature - Operable at - 15C to 30 C (0F to 120F)

• Humidity - 5% to 95% RM (non-condensing)

• Detection Methods – Wireless PIRs, panic buttons, door switches, tilt sensors, or your own sensors can be monitored by the Sentry. The Sentry monitors 4 zones which can have an unlimited number of sensors per zone. In addition, when a PIR sensor has a low battery, the Sentry can report a sensor low battery message. A general purpose transmitter is used to interface with other types of sensors.
  

Radio
The Sentry is factory equipped with a UHF or VHF business band radio system. The transceiver is mounted inside the briefcase. Standard frequencies include VHF (136-174 Mhz) and UHF (405-460 Mhz, 440-460 Mhz, 450-470 Mhz). The Sentry is also compatible with most commercially available radio systems, including 800 Mhz and 900 Mhz systems, with or without trunking capability. Telephone
The Sentry can also be configured with a cellular phone or a standard phone line. Cellular phone is factory installed.
