Voice Reporting Alarm System

The Clarion is a versatile general purpose alarm system that will generate voice messages to officers and security personnel over radio, standard phone lines or cellular phone.

The 13 zone system can be configured with wireless sensors for quick and easy installation or with existing hard-wired sensors. The user records messages into the system which are broadcast to security personnel in the event of an alarm. The message is transmitted directly to personnel, dramatically reducing response time.

• Panic buttons are fully supervised by the system to ensure working order. Sensor battery low and inactive sensors are automatically detected.

• Wireless sensor repeaters can easily be added to cover nearby annexes or other buildings.

• No hardwiring is necessary. Very cost effective for updating security on a temporary basis. Installations typically take only a few hours instead of days or weeks.

SPECIFICATIONS AND FEATURES:

• Clock/Calendar: Schedule individual sensor ports based on time of day, day of week or holiday.

• Custom Message Capability: Voice messages can be recorded and assigned to individual zones. The maximum length of individual messages is 15 seconds. The system provides a total of 60 seconds for all messages. Voice recording allows the use of second languages and encoding.

• Automatic Self-Test Transmission: User may select and schedule status reports to check system operation.

• Power Requirements: System operates on AC power and a 7.5 ampere battery. Battery will provide backup power in the event of power failure. Duration of battery power depends on the type and number of sensors in use. System must be connected to AC power and battery for operation.

• Remote Programming Via DTMF Keypad and PC: System has programming capability over communication link and /or PC link. Options include, but are not limited to, Time and Date, Message Recording, Interval for Alarm Reset, Password Protection, Sensor Scheduling, and Alarm History Reporting. Voice recordings must be transmitted via radio.

• Multiple Ports
  Inputs: The Dispatcher contains 13 input zones (8 supervised and 5 unsupervised). All input zones will support most commercially available sensors.
  Outputs: Eight +12V DC outputs can be set to trigger external devices on specific alarm conditions.

• Internal Memory of Alarms: System maintains an internal memory of the last 100 alarms by time, date and sensor.

• External LEDs indicate enclosure designed for interior wall mounting.

• Housing: Metal box enclosure designed for interior wall mounting. NEMA box for outdoor application optional. Size 14 x 11 x 4.

COMMUNICATION REQUIREMENTS

RADIO CLARION

The Radio Clarion comes standard with a UHF or VHF business band radio. Other radio systems, including trunking, are compatible. All radio systems must be factory installed and tested. The Clarion is programmed and controlled by a keypad radio or PC software. Questions regarding your radio system’s compatibility, please contact us.

PHONE CLARION

The cellular Clarion is equipped with a factory installed Motorola cellular phone and is controlled via any phone using the keypad or by PC Software.

OPTIONS

The Wireless Clarion system includes an additional 13 channel wireless receiver that provides up to 64 supervised point or sensors. Ask for details.

PC Software

PC software allows the user to program and communicate with the system by computer. Requirements: 386 or higher with graphics. Runs with DOS, Windows 3.1, 95 or 98. 9-pin serial port cable provided. Ask about these options.
